Hi I'm Zach

I grew up all over the world, my family and I moved every 2 years. I love sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 20 years old and have moved all over the world. My reason for moving is because my dad, who is now retired, was an English, and Math teacher. So when I was younger our family lived in China for 2 years and after that we lived in Alaska. It wasn't only my dad's fault, my mom had just as much to do with it. She grew up moving all over the place, all the time, what with her dad being in the navy. I guess you could say it's in her blood as well as it is in mine. I really enjoy getting out and experiencing new things. I always love a good change in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because there is nothing else I would rather be. My faith has gotten me far and I don't plan on stopping here, because of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints I was able to make it through some of the hardest times in my life. My dad had a brain tumor in 2001. With a 30% chance of serviving the surgery, through lots of prayer to my Heavenly Father, and blessings from him, my dad survived only to have to re-learn how to do everything. For the first year he sat in a chair in the corner of the room, but after that he started to learn how to talk and swallow and do other simple things. His recovery was on its way, pretty soon he was talking and starting to try and walk. There are so many people who played a part in his recovery and God being one of them. Not too many years after he was diagnosed with alzheimers. It was early onset because of the tumor. Through faith and much prayer my family and I have made it through some of the most difficult times and are still making it. I am glad to say that I relied on my Heavenly Father through all of it. A couple of months ago my mother was diagnosed with cancer of the head, neck and breast. As she started treatment for her cancer it started to shut down her kidneys. She is still hanging in there and fighting the good fight. It is my testimony that we have a Heavenly Father who loves us. If we put our faith in him and are obedient to his teachings he will support us in our trials and we will grow, and become stronger from them. I know that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God and through it and the Bible we have the the fullness of the gospel. I invite all people to read the Book of Mormon and to truely pray about it and you can gain that same testimony it will bless you in your life. Thats why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am participating in my faith through service. I am currently serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and I am loving every second of it.
