Hi I'm Hermana Albright!

I'm a dancer, student, and missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving my mission, preparing to go help the people in Argentina. Last year, I was in college learning how to be a great 5th grade teacher, and will continue to do so when I return. I've loved dancing my whole life, and have continued to take dance classes in college. I love living close to my family so that I can play with my nieces and nephews, who are so funny all the time. My roommate is my best friend, and I am so blessed to have her in my life. I have a strong testimony in the Gospel, which I have grown through much study and prayer. I love my Father in Heaven and am so grateful for the knowledge I have that He loves me too.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in this church, through the loving guidance of my parents. Although I originally went to church as a kid just because my parents wanted me too, I now know the truth of it for myself. Through diligent scripture study, prayer, and attending inspirational meetings at church, I have been able to feel my Heavenly Father's love for me. I know that He knows me personally--all of my struggles and desires--and that He helps me and guides me. I know that Christ lives, and that He paid for all of our sins so that we can one day return to live with Him and with our Father in Heaven. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet, and that He saw both God and Jesus Christ. I know that through them, he was able to translate the Book of Mormon. I know that it is true scripture, just like the Bible. I have been so blessed to have this knowledge. It has shaped who I am today. I know that we can feel God's love and see His help in our lives every single day if we look for it. This is why I remain in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and my life is all the more better for it.

How I live my faith

I live every day to my best. I have found that I feel the closest to my Savior when I am serving others, so I always try to help someone in some way every day, even if it's as something as simple as making sure they have a smile on their face and in their heart. I am currently serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am so excited to continue to grow closer to the Lord and serve His children. I study the scriptures and pray every day so that I can be guided by His Spirit to know how I can best help anyone that I meet.

What is being a Mormon like?

Hermana Albright!
Being a Mormon is like being able to eat your favorite kind of cake everyday. Actually, it's better than that, because once you've eaten your cake it's gone, but the joy that I receive from this church is never gone. So I guess it's more like having an endless supply of your favorite kind of cake, without ever having to worry about getting fat. That cake that I'm talking about is the love of God. Whenever I am having a hard time in life, I know that I can turn to the Lord for help and He always gives me that "little slice of cake" that I need to feel better. I can enjoy my "slice of cake" in many different ways: going to church, reading my scriptures, receiving a blessing, praying to God, helping someone, or even getting help from someone else. But no matter what way it comes in, it always fills me with joy. :) Show more Show less
