Hi I'm Madi

I was born and raised in Orem, Utah. I'm a hiker on all my free days. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student who loves being outdoors. I love running and hiking and biking. If I have a free day, you can usually find me in the mountains. But I also love school and learning new things. As a junior in high school I was an exchange student in Spain for the year. The experience helped me learn new things and connect with new people, but it mainly opened my eyes to missionary work. In a few days I'll be a full-time missionary in Argentina.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member of the church since I was baptized when I was eight years old. Growing up with parents who had strong testimonies taught me a lot. Over the years I've gained my own testimony of the truthfulness of this church. I know Joseph Smith saw God, the father, and his son Jesus Christ. He restored the true church, Christ's church that was on the earth when he was. I know that after Jesus Christ was resurrected, he visited the Nephites in the Americas. I know the Book of Mormon in true. I'm excited to serve a mission to help people feel the power of Christ's atonement and the love of the gospel.

How I live my faith

The church is a huge part of my life. I've had a calling since I was 12. In the past I've played piano for the youth, been president of my small class of girls, led music, organized the family history class and encouraged people to index, visit taught sisters in the ward, and taught 5 year olds. My dad is the bishop of my ward so my family sacrifices our time with him throughout the week. Sometimes these callings have been time consuming and hard, but I love having the chance to participate in a ward. The church is my life.
