Hi I'm Arlynn

I have been called to serve a full time LDS mission in Tacloban, Philippines. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am a college student attending Utah Valley University. I love sports: basketball, volleyball, track, all the above. I love playing them and watching. I also love anything to do with the outdoors. I love to go boating, wakeboarding, snowboarding, hiking, and doing adventurous things. I also love movies, reading, and painting. That's pretty much all there is to me. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because it makes me happy. This religion gives you a meaning to life. I don't know what I would do without this gospel. I have a strong testimony that our Father in Heaven knows each and every one of us specifically. He knows our weaknesses, our strengths, desires, needs, he knows us and he blesses us. Our purpose in life is to return to Him, without this gospel, how is it possible? I have had trials and tribulations through out my life that I wouldn't have been able to overcome without the knowledge of the gospel and the love of our Savior. My dad passed away when I was ten years old. Without the knowledge that families can be together forever, I don't know how I would make it through the hard times in my life. I love what this church stands for. When ever you need anything, a member is always there to help you. I have such a strong testimony of the power of prayer. It is a direct line of communication to our Father in Heaven. He hears us and answers us. This gospel is a gospel of peace. It teaches us we can become clean and work towards perfection through the atonement. We can repent of our sins and they will all be washed away. How remarkable is this? It's not a hard religion to follow. It makes us better people, teaching us hard work, diligence, sacrifice, and understanding of the greater picture. I love this gospel with all my heart and thank my heavenly father every day to be apart of it. I can't wait to share this gospel with the world, so we may all have this peace and happiness we deserve.

How I live my faith

I love this church. I love to participate in any of the activities and callings that this church has to offer. When I was in high school I loved attending young women's, where all the girls in the ward could participate and do fun activities together. Girl's camp is always the highlight of summer. In college I attended institute and the single ward activities. It's always fun and gives us a chance for our testimonies to grow together. I am seriving a full-time missionary, I'm so blessed to have this opportunity to share the gospel with others.

What is faith?

As a missionary we are taught that faith in one of the most important things to have. Faith that our Heavenly Father will bless us while we are away from our families in a foreign land. Faith that we will be able to do all things through Him. Faith that we will be able to speak a forgein language. Faith is essentual. Faith is believing in our Heavenly Father and in His son Jesus Christ. Faith can always grow and progress if you are constantly working towards it. Faith grows with each prayer we say, each chapter of scriptures, each time we bare of testimony, etc. Faith can lead us to do marvelous things. If we have faith in Jesus Chirst I know all things are possible. Show more Show less
