Hi I'm Jamie

I have an amazing family consisting of a husband and three children. I love animals and training dogs. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a stay-at-home mom. My children are my passion. My daughter is strong spirited, artistic, creative, and a challenge. ;-) My oldest son is sweet, obedient, a friend to everyone, and loves hugs. My youngest son is a great combination of the older two. He is fun and full of life. I also love animals and nature. One of my favorite things to do is go to the zoo and watch in amazement the magnificent creatures God has created. I also love to bake, but I really don't like cooking. Which is too bad, because we can't eat pie for dinner every night even though I'd like to. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it brings joy to my life and the lives of my family. The gospel is a continuous circle of blessings. If I do as my Savior asks of me, he will bless me, and I feel an indescribable joy. And it keeps going on and on... the more I keep the commandments, the more I am blessed, and the more joy I feel. However, I often make mistakes and that feeling leaves me. But that is what is so remarkable about our Savior's love. He will never give up on me. If I sincerely repent I can feel that joy again, strengthen my testimony, and grow from my experiences. It is at these times that I can understand the Atonement a little bit more, and I can get a glimpse of how much Jesus Christ loves me.

How I live my faith

I love going to church every week. It boosts me up for the coming week. My current calling in the church is Compassionate Service Leader. I love this calling. I help the Relief Society Presidency in addressing the needs of the sisters in the ward. It is really great for me because I'm naturally not a super compassionate or nurturing person. This calling has really helped me to get to know so many sisters, to love them, and to understand that we all have different struggles and in varying degrees at different times in our lives. It has also strengthened my testimony that we shouldn't judge others; that we should be welcoming and loving to all.
