Hi I'm Whitney

I grew up in a small town called Elko, NV. I'm a mormon. I have never doubted the wonderful teachings of this church.

About Me

Hey! My name is Whitney Welch. I live in a small town of Nevada. I have grown up here my entire life.I love my family because they are everything to me. I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints since I was born. I know it is true. I love music, this takes up a huge part of my life. I am constantly listening to music, playing instruments, or singing. I think music can express things that can't be stated in words. I like to play sports like basketball, soccer, and volleyball. I am active and love to run in races such as 5k's, 10k's, and I am heading towards the goal of running my first half marathon.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon, because, I believe that this church is the true church on the face of this Earth. I am happy and know that I have a beginning, and middle, and I know what lies in store for me when my mortal life is through. I will be returning to live with my Father in Heaven and his son Jesus Christ. I feel it in my heart when I hear testimonies and when I read the Book of Mormon. I feel the Holy Ghost testifying to me that this is all true and I am grateful. In this gospel we believe that family plays a huge role, I am grateful for this principal as well because I love my family with all of my heart and soul, I am so happy to know that we will live together forever. I love music and that is how I connect a lot with things that would other wise be hard to understand, this gospel is not hard to understand at all it is black and white. The music, although, is beautiful and gives the spirit a little extra something. I love this gospel and I would lay my life down for it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by first being nice to everyone I feel that Jesus who was persecuted still loved those who despised him so why not do that with everyone we come into contact with. I always make sure people know what my standards are, not by giving each of them an outline saying this is how it is. I let them know by the way I hope they see me act. I smile at everyone, I give a lot of compliments. If they offend me I never get upset I calmly tell them what I believe. I guess you could say besides saying I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I show them that I am also.
