Hi I'm Ashlee Bahr

I'm a BYU student. I love my family. I love being healthy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Provo, Utah while my parents were BYU students, the university I now have the privilege to attend. I am a Spanish Teaching major, and I love languages. I had to opportunity to live in Paris, France with my family while I was a teenager and I learned so much about the world, myself, and others. I was blessed to not only be born in to a home that was very much centered in the Gospel and the teachings of Christ, but I was also blessed with parents that encouraged me from a young age to seek out for my own experiences so I could have an unwavering, personal testimony. I went to charter school from 5th grade until I graduated, where I played basketball, and was very involved in Performing Arts. I made many close and dear friends, and I tried to live my faith and standards as a way to be an example and disciple of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

As I've gone through my comparatively short life, I've clearly seen that the only pathway to true happiness in this life is when one lives in accordance with the teachings and doctrines of the LDS Church. I feel the Spirit with me each day as I exercise daily habits of scripture study and personal prayer. I know that living righteously brings blessings and peace in to our lives. Even in times of trouble and worry, I find comfort in my testimony and in the precious truths that I've come to know in my life. I know that by living the Gospel standards, I can continue to be happy and receive the many promised blessings that the future holds for me. I wouldn't trade the knowledge that I have of the Gospel for any earthly treasure.

How I live my faith

As a member of a student ward here at BYU, I have the opportunity to be surrounded by the best and the brightest of the Lord's youthful army. I am edified every week by the amazing testimonies and experiences that people share with me, and I try to do the same for those around me. I serve in my ward as the Service Chairman, and I get to help organize and run service projects for our ward. I have built my life on the firm foundation of the teachings and principles of the Gospel. Because I have already been taught the truths and principles of the Gospel, I know that I have the opportunity and duty to share it with others, so that they too might "come unto Christ, and be perfected in Him."
