Hi I'm Ashley

I am an athlete, missionary, and goal enthusiast.

About Me

I've grown up around the United States, mostly in Denver, Colorado and Salt Lake City, Utah. I love to ski, swim, and run - I could do it all day! The best part of my life is my mission, which I am currently serving in the New Hampshire Manchester Mission. I am grateful to feel so alive and real serving the Lord and His children.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have prayed and fasted to know of its truth. The truth is, this gospel is the restored gospel. It is truly Jesus Christ's church! Through the teachings and beliefs of the Mormon faith, I have grown to know my God and His son, Jesus Christ, and the spirit of the Holy Ghost. I am reaffirmed of my choice to become a part of the church everyday; I feel Christ with me throughout my day. I have learned that He has suffered and experienced all the pain I will through His Atonement. I know it's true because I feel the peace of the spirit. I know my eternal purpose on this earth because of what the gospel has taught me. We are children of the living God. Because of His eternal plan, I am able to be with my family for time and all eternity.

How I live my faith

I pray. Daily. Multiple times a day. I have a connection with my Father in Heaven that means the world to me. He truly is my Father in Heaven, and He answers my prayers. I carry out His will the best I can every day as a missionary, and that is how I am currently living my faith.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Ashley
Family is the center to God's plan of happiness. God, our Father in Heaven, knows us personally and has created a plan for each of us. In this plan, we are given a family with a mother and father. With a mother and father, all the authorities given by God (the priesthood) and used to their fullness. There are roles a mother plays that a father can't, and roles fathers play that mothers can't. The family is the central unit to God's plan for us. We also believe that families go on past death and will be together for the rest of eternity. In the temple, couples get sealed together for time and all eternity. Show more Show less
