Hi I'm Christena

My dad was in the military so we moved around alot. Since becoming an adult I've made Washington my home. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college graduate, who is married with a little boy. I enjoy reading, watching movies, hanging out with friends and traveling with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was in my 20’s when I took the discussions. My sister had joined the church but in order to keep from arguing she wouldn’t talk to me unless I took the discussions. I did and it wasn’t long for me to realize that I believe in so many of the teachings, henceforth I joined the church. In the years since I’ve learned that being a member of the church is a growing and learning process. My testimony has evolved and grown since those early years. I’ve gone through some personal challenges and I’ve learned that my son started out as one of my strongest reasons to continue in the church. In the end I’ve learned that my belief in the church is more than superficial. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet, how could he not be? He was so young and went through so much to have not been telling the truth. I know that because of him we now have a living prophet today. I also know that Heavenly Father hears us and helps to guide us on our journey. I look forward to what is still to come.

How I live my faith

Within the LDS church I enjoy visiting with the wonderful women of my ward. In the past I've taught in the primary which is challenging, due to the fact that I'm a convert, but full of rewards because we are all learning. Within the community I enjoy going and helping in the classroom of my son's school. I find with my background that my presence is appreciated and I enjoy being around the children.
