Hi I'm Ethan Grant

I'm a 20 year old karate teacher. I'm a performer, but in my spare time I love video games, watching TV, and hanging with friends.

About Me

I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It has been a huge strength to me, and I want others to feel the comfort that comes with this knowledge. I am from St George, UT, although I have spent a lot of my life living in Florida. I graduated from Snow Canyon High School, and I am the oldest of six kids. I have red hair. I absolutely love music, but Karate is my passion! I have been training for almost two years now, and have the opportunity to work with new students, mostly 5 to 12 year olds. My style of karate helps me come closer to Christ through learning to control myself and my emotions, but also trains my spiritual side. I also love to sing. I love Christmas time, because of so many reasons, but a huge one is the music. It makes me happy and I feel it's what my voice was made for. I have had a lot of setbacks in life, like most people, but what gives me comfort is knowing that no matter where I'm at in life, or how dark it gets, someone is always looking out for me.

Why I am a Mormon

Because I have felt the Spirit testify to me that the Lord directs this church, and because I have felt the power of the priesthood and the Atonement.

How I live my faith

I am a full-time missionary.

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

Ethan Grant
Mormons do believe in Jesus Christ, as the Son of God and Savior of the world. Through His Atonement all mankind can be cleansed form sin on conditions of repentance. Through His Resurrection all mankind have been saved form the bands of death. Show more Show less

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Ethan Grant
No, we do not. Our worship is centered completely on the Savior, Jesus Christ. We do respect and appreciate the sacrifice of the Prophet Joseph Smith, but in no way is he worshiped. Show more Show less

What does Mormonism teach regarding baptism?

Ethan Grant
Baptism is an essential ordinance for our salvation, and must be performed by the proper authority. As was demonstrated by the manner of Christ's baptism, this saving ordinance is performed by immersion, and is symbolic of laying down the old and sinful us. As we come out of the water, our lives are renewed, and we covenant before God that we will stand as witnesses of the truth, and devote our lives to becoming more like Christ. Little children have no need of baptism, as they are not accountable before God until they reach the age of eight. Show more Show less

Is it true that Jesus appeared in North America after his crucifixion and resurrection according to the Book of Mormon?

Ethan Grant
Yes, it is. Jesus Christ, as recorded in the Book of Mormon, appeared to those who lived in the Americas after His resurrection. This is a great testimony that God loves all of His children, regardless of where they live. Show more Show less

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Ethan Grant
The bonds of love are often strong enough to transcend even death, and through the proper authority which has been restored to the earth, if a couple takes the right steps to covenant with God, they will can be blessed to have an eternal family. Their marriage will not be til death do they part, but now and forever, with their spouse and their posterity. My goal to have an eternal family one day is one of the most important landmarks in my future. Show more Show less

Why is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints called Mormons or Mormonism?

Ethan Grant
Mormon is a common nickname for the Church, which comes from the title of a book of scripture entitled The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ. Mormon is an ancient prophet who wrote in that book, but the Lord Jesus Christ is who we worship. The full name of our church reflects our true nature as Christians. Show more Show less
