Hi I'm Cheyenne

I'm a student at Southern Virginia University, a part of the greatest family in the world, a returned missionary, and I love life!

About Me

I love everything about this life! I love my family, I love where I live, and most importantly I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have been so blessed with so many wonderful opportunities in my life! I was able to attend BYU in Provo which I loved. I was then blessed with a mission call to the greatest place in the world; Louisiana!! I love the people there so much and I am so grateful for the opportunity I had to serve them. I am now attending Southern Virginia University where I am a member of the a cappella group The Fading Point. I have been extremely blessed by the Lord and I love sharing His light and love with everyone I can!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of this church because I have experienced more joy by living my life as God would have me live than by doing anything else. I am a member of this church because I cannot deny that the Holy Ghost has touched my spirit and testified to me of its truthfulness. I am not a Mormon just because my family is, or because it's easy. It's difficult to be a member and conversion is a life long process, but I cannot imagine how much more difficult life would be if I did not have the knowledge that I have a loving Heavenly Father who will support me in all of my righteous decisions. I am a Mormon because after years of studying the scriptures and asking for a confirmation that this is God's church on this earth, I have received an answer: this is church is absolutely, 100%, without a doubt, so true. My knowledge of my Savior's atonement for me brings me a comfort that I cannot describe and I live every day grateful that, because of Jesus Christ, I can be clean and worthy to enter into the kingdom of my Heavenly Father. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be an example to everyone that I meet. I strive to follow the standards put forth by the Lord and follow the teachings and counsel of his prophets and apostles. I was able to show my faith by dedicating a year and a half of my life to teaching God's children about the restored gospel and the love that He feels for each of them. I attend my church meetings regularly and try to make choices which are in line with the teachings of the church. Sometimes it's difficult to find opportunities to live the life that I know I should. It's definitely harder to live by my standards when the world says that there is no longer a need for morals and righteous living. However I know that if I keep God's commandments I will be blessed with more happiness than I can imagine and that is why I choose to live my faith.
