Hi I'm Kaitie Nelson

I grew up in Idaho, play the ukulele and love to laugh. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in small-town Idaho. I have lived there the majority of my life. I love potatoes! I am a little sister, a big sister, a daughter, grand-daughter and friend. I have had a pretty normal life, growing up in a small town. When I was 17 my family moved to Utah and I stayed in Idaho for University. Ever since I can remember I have wanted to create space where people could live comfortably. When I was little, I would walk into homes and dream of what they could and would look like if I could do anything with them! I study Interior Design at school. I love to listen to music. I love haning out with friends. I play the ukulele. I love to laugh. I am a daughter of a King.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Mormon faith. Some would say that I've always had it easy. I would probably have to agree. I haven't had to ever live on the other-side-of-the-railroad-tracks, if you know what I mean. I have always known that there is a God, and to some extent, I've always known that He loved me to some degree. But I am a Mormon, because in scripture I continually read that we are to 'prove the Lord'. One day I decided I needed to know for myself, so I decided to prove the Lord! Ever time I have tried to prove Him, I have seen the blessings in my life. In St. Matthew in the New Testament it says "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh recieveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.". It was because of this that I asked for myself, to find out if the things I read and tried were true. I asked, and I recieved. The joy I felt within my heart cannot be expressed in words, and I continue to feel that every time I read the Book of Mormon and pray, with sincerity, to know if it is the word of God. Oh what joy! I know that my Saviour lives, and I strive to do as he has asked and that is why I am a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to take each day as it comes and remain close to the Savior. To keep a positive attitude and live my life in a way that might be pleasing to Him!
