Hi I'm Byrin Romney

I'm from Henderson, NV. I love to play volleyball. I study law and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am 24 years old. I was raised in Henderson, NV. I studied political science at Brigham Young University and I'm now studying law at Willamette University. I lived in England for two years as a missionary. I am married and have a baby girl. I am the 6th of 7 children. I love to do anything active and outdoors! Snowboarding, rock climbing, etc etc. I also have a brother with downsyndrome who is my favourite brother! :) And yes... I am related to Mitt Romney

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know for myself that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer. I know by experience that the teachings of Jesus Christ help me to be happier and feel greater peace. The LDS church teaches the Gospel of Jesus Christ and helps me apply it in my life. I'm a Mormon because God has reveled to me that the Book of Mormon is true. I'm a Mormon because I know that Joseph Smith, the translator of the Book of Mormon, is a prophet of God and that the Church of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth by Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by the actions of my everyday life. I try my best to follow the example of Jesus Christ and apply his teachings into my life. I try to become more like Him, little by little, each day. I find it important to study the scriptures like the Bible and Book of Mormon. Prayer and scripture study have taught me who Jesus Christ is, how his teachings can bless our lives, and how we can change our lives to be more like him.

Is it true that Jesus appeared in North America after his crucifixion and resurrection according to the Book of Mormon?

Byrin Romney
Yes! It is true that after Christ was resurrected in Jerusalem he visited the people living in the ancient Americas. The New Testament prophesies this. In John 10:16 it reads "And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd." This is teaching that there were others on the earth at the time of Christ that believed in him as the Son of God however, they were not of the fold in Jerusalem. Christ visited them also to teach them his Gospel as given by a loving Father in Heaven. In 3 Nephi 15:14-24, in the Book of Mormon, Christ expounds upon this. It is amazing to read. Read it for yourself! I promise it will enlighten your understanding of our Saviour Jesus Christ and his love for all of his people. I have prayed and asked God if this is true and he has affirmed to me by the Holy Spirit that it is. Show more Show less

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Byrin Romney
Ancient prophets that lived in the Americas wrote the Book of Mormon. God had prophets all over the world, not just in Jerusalem. He loves and teaches all of his children that are willing to listen to him. The book was burried by those prophets in about 400ad because of the wickedness of the people and was revealed and translated by the modern prophet Joseph Smith. Show more Show less

Byrin Romney
No. The church itself does not endorse political candidates or parties. The Church will seek to defend the principles and ethics of Christianity, but does not support a specific party. What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

Byrin Romney
The "Word of Wisdom" is simply a code of health that Mormons live. We believe it comes from God. We recognize that our bodies our special and important. They should be treated with care. Satan has created many ways to lead men to destroy our bodies. The Lord has directed us not to partake of tobacco, alcohol, coffee, tea, and illegal drugs. These are some of the most common things that Satan is using to have men destroy their bodies and the Lord has cautioned us not to have these things so that we keep our bodies clean and pure. When we do so, we are more receptive to the Spirit of God and his communication with us. Show more Show less
