Hi I'm Brad Jarvis

I'm serving a Mission in Houston, Texas speaking Spanish. I'm a Drummer. I'm Adopted. I'm a Soccer Player. and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Anderson, Indiana. My parents adopted me after a few days of being born. I grew up in Orem, Utah. My family consists of my parents and 4 children. I graduated from Timanogos High School, and started college at BYU-Idaho. I recently got called to serve a Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Porto Alegre, Brazil. I am so excited to give 2 years of my life in the Lord's service as a Missionary. Recently, because of complications with my visa. I was re-assigned to serve in the Texas Houston South Mission, speaking Spanish! I love serving the people of Houston, and love learning and speaking the Spanish Language. I am a soccer player. Soccer is my favorite sport. It is a passion that I have, had. I have played soccer for around, 10 years. I am a drummer, a musician, and an artist. I played drums all throughout Jr. High, High School, and College. I play the piano, and am teaching myself how to play guitar. I have been involved with music my whole life. I love playing, writing, and listening to it.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. I have read the Bible, and The Book of Mormon, and prayed to know if they are not true. I have also prayed to know if, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is not Christ's true church upon the earth. Through this I have received a witness from the Holy Ghost that they are true. I know that the Priesthood Power of God has been restored again upon the earth, and his Christ's church restored through a prophet call by God. I am a Mormon, because I know we have a purpose on this life. I know and testify that God is our loving Heavenly Father, and that we are His children. I know that Jesus Christ is His son, and our Savior, and Redeemer. I know that through Faith in Jesus Christ; repenting of our sins; being baptized by the proper Priesthood Authority of God; receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost; and enduring to the end, we will receive blessings and happiness. I know Jesus Christ died for me personally, and for every one of us. God, and Jesus Christ want us to be able to return to live with them, and our families for eternity. This is why, I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through my actions everyday. I look for opportunities to serve, and help people to the best of my abilities. And by doing so, try to help them come unto Christ. As I act as a representative of Jesus Christ, and do the things that He would do, and has done. I see peoples lives change, and allow them to come closer to Him. I live my faith through serving as a Missionary for, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As a Missionary we go around in white shirts, and tie's usually walking, or riding bikes and teach people about Jesus Christ and his church has been restored upon the earth through a prophet of God. I chose to give 2 years of my life to serve a Mission, and to leave everything behind. It has been the best decision I have ever made. I have seen more blessings, and miracles in my life than I have ever been able to before. I have seen people change as they accept, and live the principle of the gospel. And more importantly, I have changed, as I have lived those principles. The Gospel of Jesus Christ has changed my life. And that is the reason I am out here teaching people. So, they can receive that same change, and happiness that I have been able to receive.
