Hi I'm K.C. Miller

I'm an athlete, a humanitarian, a die hard Chicago Bears fan, and will soon be serving a mission in Germany.

About Me

I am from Provo, Utah and grew up in this church. I am the youngest (and by far the smallest) of five boys. I am a student at Brigham Young University, but I'm putting that on hold to serve a mission in Frankfurt, Germany. I love to hunt, fish, and enjoy the outdoors. I love sports, and have been playing them my whole life. My favorite sport is basketball, and I was lucky enough to play on my high school team. I love football as well, and I am a die hard Chicago Bears fan. One sport that in my opinion doesn't get enough respect is bowling. I have secretly been trying to bowl a 200+ game since I was in the 8th grade... which I finally accomplished the day before I left on my mission. Apart from the outdoors and sports, I love to read, watch movies, and spend time with friends and family. One of the greatest experiences of my life (so far) was going on a humanitarian trip to India to help struggling kids in their schools. I love humanitarian work because so many times in life you feel like what you're doing doesn't matter, but I was really given a chance to make a difference in people's lives. That experience really shaped so much of who I am, and taught me to always be grateful for what I have. Some of the greatest joy one can receive can be obtained through meaningful service.

Why I am a Mormon

So many people think that just because someone grows up in Utah, or in the LDS church, that the decision to become a Mormon is easy. More often than not, that isn't true. There have been times in my life where I have really questioned things, and really thought about whether or not I believed in the Book of Mormon, and in this gospel. And let me tell you, after reading that book and praying to know if it was true- no matter how hard I try to deny the happiness I felt when I discovered the truth in the Book of Mormon, I cannot deny it. I am a Mormon because I know without a doubt that the Book of Mormon is true, and is a perfect testament of Christ that compliments the Bible perfectly. I am a Mormon because this Gospel brings so much happiness to me, and it is this happiness I feel that makes me want to serve the people in Germany.

How I live my faith

I live my faith mainly through finding ways to serve people, trying to be a good example, and by being the best friend I can be to the people I meet. Throughout my life, I have been put in various callings in the church. I am extremely blessed and feel like I am spoiled, so community service, humanitarian work, and magnifying church callings are great ways to live my faith because service and helping others is a big part of our religion. I am also serving a mission right now to try and help people as much as I can by sharing this gospel with them.
