Hi I'm Stephen F. Powell

I grew up in VA and TX, served a mission in Japan. Live with my wife and 4 kids in Syracuse, UT. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a married father of 4 - a girl and 3 boys. I served a mission to Nagoya, Japan. I graduated from Weber State University. I work for the Department of Defense. I like watching movies and taking trips to the beach with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know what is taught is true. By exercising faith in Jesus Christ I have seen miracles. I have found solace in His teachings and light in the words of living prophets. I have seen the restored gospel of Jesus Christ touch the lives of my brothers and sisters in Japan where I served a two year mission for His church. I too have been blessed by living the principles of Christ's gospel and my family thrives by keeping the commandments. I'm thankful to have been born into a family that lived the teachings of the church, and I'm grateful to a loving Heavenly Father who has spoken to me though his Holy Spirit and helped me form a testimony of my own of the truthfulness of the restoration of Jesus Christ's church.

How I live my faith

I work with the 12-13 year-old boys in our neighborhood. We work on their progress towards the rank of Eagle Scout. I help them develop attributes that will help them be a good influence on their community and the world in the future. I have helped many people move in and out of our area and helped shingle several roofs in our neighborhood over the few years I've lived here. I sing in the church chior as a tenor, and I've recently joined the Jenny Phillips fireside chior.
