Hi I'm Trevor Hill

Grew up in SLC, UT. I love watching and playing sports. Currently on my mission in the California Oakland/San Francisco mission.

About Me

I love to play and watch sports. I almost have my generals associates degree. I love to play football, basketball, soccer, ultimate frisbee, random hiking, camping, being out side in the warm sun or in the freezing cold snow. I love laughing and just enjoying life. I love going boating with my family and just being with them! I'm a son, brother, and proud uncle of 4 nephews and 1 niece and one on the way! Through studying the scriptures and sincere prayers I have come to know that this gospel is true. I have grown up my entire life wanting to serve a mission and it has been the greatest decision I have ever made! I love my Savior and all that he has done for me. I feel his love for me every day. I'm grateful for his tender mercies and sacrifice that he made for me. Because of this I know I will never be alone in this world! I know this gospel is the true gospel restored to the Earth. I'm glad that I have this knowledge. I know I'm a son of God. My family is the most important thing to me. I'm so happy I have the knowledge that I can be with my family not only here on Earth together, but also for eternity in the next life. I'm so grateful for the family I was born into. They are the biggest blessing of my life. I know I wouldn't be who I am today without them. I'm currently serving my mission in the Oakland/San Francisco Mission. I started my mission back in March of 2013 This is the best mission in the entire world!! I have come to truely love the people out here!

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up in the church my entire life. I would always go to church because my parents would expect it from me while I was growing up and I just felt like it was right and what I should do. After going through my own trials I now live the gospel because of the love I feel from my Heavenly Father and I'm so grateful for his patience and compassion he has for me individually. I now serve my Heavenly Father and older brother, Jesus Christ as a way of trying to pay back my appreciation and love I have for them. Every night I pray to know if these things are true, pray to know if Joseph Smith is Gods prophet that restored His gospel, pray to know if the Book of Mormon is true and if Thomas S. Monson is his current prophet on the Earth today; and every time I do this, I receive the same answer that it is all true! This gospel brings a happiness and peace that you can't find anywhere else. I know that I am a son of God. The Book of Mormon has changed my life more than I ever even thought possible. I know that it is true. It has taught me simple principles that have blessed my life for the better. It's helped me feel more love that God has for me by providing more scripture that I can read from and learn of Him. It makes so much sense to me why we would still need a living prophet on the earth today to continue to help us and give us more of Gods words for guidance in our lives. This is one of the blessings in my life. That God loves me so much that he would call a prophet to let me know what He expects of me. As well as how I need to live my life. I love my life and for the things God has given me out of pure love.

How I live my faith

I have been in youth leadership positions for six years. I got my eagles scout at age thirteen. I enjoy doing service for others. I learned that through the example of my father. He's an amazing man that has taught me so much just through his example. I am currently serving my mission in the California Oakland/San Francisco Mission. I am more than happy to give up two years of my life to serve my Heavenly Father and my Savior in return for all the things they have done for me. I can never get enough of this gospel. I am always wanting to learn more every day. I wouldn't trade my mission for anything! I love seeing the change it brings to others when they feel the same happiness and peace that I feel from this gospel that can't be found anywhere else. Every day, I try to continue to look at all the blessing and little miracles God has given to me. I loved the sports they have in this church during my youth years. I always strived my best to help the other young men be as involved as much as possible. I tried my best to include everyone and help them realize that their best is all that God asks of us and I know that our Savior wants us all to support each other that way as well. As brothers and sisters, we need to always be supporting and inspiring each other to become better and to push ourselves to grow and reach our fullest potential. I hope to some day teach my children all of these things by both word and deed. My goal is to be an example that they can look up to like my parents did for me. I hope to show my children the love I have for their mother and my Heavenly Father every single day.
