Hi I'm Daniel

I'm the youngest of 8 children. I'm a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love people. I am constantly amazed at how much a single person can accomplish and how much more we can accomplish when we help each other. I especially love my family. My parents were divorced when I was about five years old and I have grown very much because of that. My mom was remarried and I now have two step-sisters and two step-brothers. I love them with all my heart and they are just as much family to me. I have a niece and a nephew with another niece on the way. I love playing with them and making them laugh, I don't think there is a sound that is sweeter than genuine laughter. I love to laugh. Since I was a kid I have loved music. I love many different styles of music and I like to listen and sing along. I am singing all the time. I play the trumpet, the piano, the guitar, and the ukelele. I love to act as well. I was heavily involved in the drama and choir programs in my high school. I love playing all sports with my friends and family. I am a student at Utah State University but I have deferred my schooling for two years because I am serving a mission in Mexico from April 3, 2013 to April 2015 and I could not be more excited for that! Education is very important to me and I think that we should never reach a destination in learning. There is always more.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this is the true church of Jesus Christ. I know this more fully than I have ever known anything. I know that every person on this Earth is a child of God and that He has a plan for us here. I know that we have been sent to this Earth for a purpose and that we can make it back to our Heavenly Father again. I have a testimony of the redeeming and enabling power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ and I know that it has helped me get through all trials in my life, including my parents' divorce. I know that Christ lives and that He is the only true source of happiness. I still follow the gospel of Jesus Christ because I love it. I am on an LDS mission because I know that this is the true gospel of Christ and I cannot be content without sharing what has brought me more joy than any other thing can.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to do what is right all day, every day. I read my scriptures and I pray every day. It is important to always try to do what our Savior Jesus Christ would have us do so we can grow and be an example to others. I go to church each week and I try to reach out to those around me and help them in any way I can. Service is extremely important; service makes me humble and recognize others and their needs and feelings. Like everyone else, I make mistakes. I make mistakes on a daily basis and I feel bad for my mistakes. I know that because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ I can be forgiven of my mistakes and shortcomings through repentance. Although I am not anywhere close to perfection, I am trying to be more like our perfect Savior, Jesus Christ.
