Hi I'm Joseph

I grew up in Indiana, love helping people, and enjoy challenges!

About Me

I am the third of four children, grew up in the Midwest, and love to have fun! I am a very organized and structured person, yet some of my greatest enjoyment comes from being innovative and thinking outside the box. There is also a very driven side of me and that comes from a desire to help others. It energizes me to be in a large crowd of people and make others laugh. Generally I can be too silly. I have participated in many things. Growing up I loved music, chess, tennis, large social events, and dances. A large part of my time was in my church, scouting, band, and the community. Although my favorite things are my family gatherings. My whole extended family would get together and we would play card or board games together, watch movies, and loved being around each other. Thanksgiving and Christmas have become my favorite times in the year. Currently I am a full time missionary Fresno, California. It has been the most valuable experience in my life. After my mission the plan is to continue studying engineering at Brigham Young University.

Why I am a Mormon

The reason I am a Mormon is because I feel close to my Heavenly Father. When I pray, read from the Book of Mormon, and attend church there is a real difference in my life. What I study and live is in line with what God and his prophets teach. Living a Christ-like life resolves my fears. That gives me a great sense of peace and direction. Overall I get to live life with no regrets. Another reason is I have the opportunity to do and be my best. This church gives me the chance to help others in such a fulfilling way and I know I am making a difference. I love feeling that way! Not only that, I have had the Spirit whisper to me this is what I need to do and where I should be. That brings great confidence in my life knowing Heavenly Father approves of what I am doing. It's only in this church we learn completely what God wants from us in life and I know this is all true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by keeping the commandments of God and trying to be like His son Jesus Christ. Each day I read from the Book of Mormon and the Bible, with prayer, and listen to what the Lord wants from me. Then I follow what I think and feel. I also attend church each Sunday. How I live my faith is also shown by focusing on what I feel is most important: My family, relationships with others, religion, community, and my education. I give my very best to those things. It can stretch me at some moments, but it is worth it.
