Hi I'm Sarah

I grew up in Nampa, Idaho. I play piano, like to fish, and love to read. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

When I was 18-months-old, I was diagnosed with right hemi-paresis, which means my muscles are weak on my right side. Even though I have physical limitations, I enjoy to camp, fish, bike along the coast, and swim, and play hymns on the piano. I may not be the best at any of these activities, but I find that each of these activities helps get to know God's love for me a little more. I studied in college for 2 1/2 years in the Health Sciences, but decided that I needed to put my education on hold to go on a mission. My mission has taught me a lot about myself and also my love for Heavenly Father. I can truly say that I have a firm testimony that this church is true and that God loves each of us.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because I sincerely asked God if this was the true church, and have felt a confirmation that it is through the Holy Ghost. Every time I read the Book of Mormon, I receive the very same answer.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving others. I have always enjoyed helping those in need of help. I have a special connection to people with disabilities and have served many of them in a church setting and out in the community. I currently do not have any calls, but I try to participate in all activities that I can. I have really been relying on my faith for the last few months, because I just got called on a mission and will be serving in a Spanish speaking mission for 18 months.

What blessings can we receive through the gift of the Holy Ghost?

The Holy Ghost blesses us in many ways. It can help guide us to make correct decisions in life, and tell us if something is true. Another blessing of the Holy Ghost, which I have received many times in my life, is comfort. Especially when I was younger, the blessing of comfort from the Holy Ghost helped me know that our Heavenly Father truly does love us and that because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ, we are never alone. Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

Mormons baptize their new members, because Jesus Christ was baptized. It is through Jesus Christ and His atonement that we are able to have the ability to live with God again. We follow Jesus Christ's example and are baptized to show God that we are willing to accept Jesus Christ and do our very best in this life. In return, we are given many blessings that will bring us everlasting joy. Show more Show less
