Hi I'm Maren Otto

I grew up in Utah and Idaho. I play the clarinet, guitar and banjo. I love working with horses. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Maren. I'm the oldest of 6 kids. I have 4 brothers and one sister. My mom calls my sister and I her bookends because there's 4 boys between us. I graduated from an art based school. I play the clarinet, guitar, and banjo. I love all kinds of music. I LOVE animals. I volunteer at a horse ranch. I'm currently preparing to serve a mission in Dallas, Texas.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an LDS family. My dad was born in the church, but my mom was converted at age 25. When I was younger I trusted that the things my parents taught me were true, but I quickly began to gain a testimony of my own. My testimony of the Book of Mormon came later, when I was able to read it, study it, and pray about it on my own. I feel a confirmation of the Spirit whenever I share the Gospel with others.

How I live my faith

When I graduated from high school my first job in the church was teaching 3 year-olds. Now I teach the women in the Single's Ward. I share my testimony with my non-member friends. I love to volunteer and serve where ever possible. I regularly volunteer at a horse ranch with people of all faiths. I try to be a good example by accepting people of all cultures and religions. I'm looking forward to sharing my testimony when I leave for my mission to Dallas Texas.
