Hi I'm Adam Peter Bell

I love my wife, I love my daughter, I love Newcastle United, I love my family and friends and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi I'm Adam I'm a father of one little girl called Ava who is almost 8 months now and have been married since 2012 to my beautiful wife and eternal companion Grace, I work for a big UK telecommunications company called EE in Business retentions which i have done since 2006 and I love what I do. I live in a town called Washington in the north east of England and i love football , i love to follow Newcastle United. I also enjoy kickboxing when time allows just to try and keep fit and its very enjoyable. I love movies and have a real passion for them I have started to review films and write a blog on them.

Why I am a Mormon

What better way to describe why i am a Mormon than to share my conversion story. I was originally born in the church and at the age of 3 i was adopted outside of the church although people who were members of the church tried to adopt me it wasn't the path that was chosen for me and I was brought up by non member parents who i love dearly. When i was about 22 I was not the best of people and had disagreement with my parents and left home and went to search for my brothers and sisters but the first person i was directed to was my birth cousin and aunty and this was about January 2008 i never really got to know anything about the church until i was starting to investigate it when my friend Chris who is my cousins boyfriend now husband took me to his chapel and then i approached the missionaries and asked to be taught. I had the first discussion about Joseph Smith and the first vision and i was actually laughing at them thinking this is ridiculous. Now i come to realise this was very rude and they were completely correct. four weeks later and i was baptized a member of the church. I have studied the book of Mormon and have come to know by asking my heavenly father that the book is true. I no longer believe in coincidences as how can being born in church then losing contact to then join back to the church after having no idea what a Mormon was. Meeting my wife was meant to be also because she had only returned to church after being less active since she was 13 about 6 month before we met and through her sister as me and her sister were good friends , we then got married a year after meeting each other and now have a lovely daughter so myself making the decision to become a Mormon has now created another generation which could lead into many generations to come all because of the faith i had to pray for the first time in my life. If you said to me 6 years ago would I be quoting and reading scriptures I would of said not to be so silly.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is such a huge importance in my life , I aim to try and live it as diligently as i can. For my faith it is not just a Sunday thing but every day. Nothing shows example more than action. I have a responsibility at church which requires me to be organized with my time as I need to prepare and teach lessons ready for the Sunday or attend various meetings. I love to serve in my responsibility as i am the most happiest when i am serving others. Also between once and twice a month I set out a night to go out with a companion and do some home teaching which basically is when we go out to specific families who are members of the church and teach them a subject that may be more fitting and to be a Shepard and watching over them and seeing if there is any needs with the families and to assist in anyway. Before i did this responsibility I was involved teaching to young men of the church between the ages of 13 and 18 which is the most important age I believe to teach and have an influence on. Once again the best way to teach about my faith is to live it and love it.
