Hi I'm Ellen Parker

I am the oldest of two. I am studying Chemistry. I will be serving a mission in Rancagua Chile. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in California. I love going to the beach just as much as I love going to the mountains to ski. I enjoy reading, playing tennis, shopping, traveling, and going to Disneyland in my free time. I love studying Chemistry because it is the study of the building blocks of life. I love learning how to explain the world around me at the most basic level. Most importantly I am a daughter and an older sister. My family is very important to me. I am very close with my sister and I am always trying to set a good example for her.

Why I am a Mormon

I do not have a particular moment when I became converted. I have been fortunate to grow up in the church therefore I have been blessed to be able to gain a testimony starting from a young age. I am a Mormon because I know that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me. I know that he created a way for me to become as him and return to live with him. I know that in accordance with this plan he sent his son, my brother, Jesus Christ to be sacrificed for my sins so that when I sin I am able so repent and be forgiven. I know that He gave me prophets to lead and guide me in the past but also now. I know that Joseph Smith is a true prophet who restored the church that existed with Christ. I know that the Book of Mormon is a record of his prophets and that it is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by setting an example for others. In the church I work to plan activities for the women in my ward. Together we are able to have fun and create friendships while growing together in the gospel. I further my friendships by visiting with sisters each month to let them know I care and to serve them.
