Hi I'm Lindsey

I live in Utah. I sell insurance. I have 23 nieces and nephews. I love to laugh. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a single 32 year old who lives in the heart of Utah. I love to laugh, and when I'm not out saving baby kittens, I spend a good amount of time with my amazing friends. We enjoy traveling, going to plays, movies, temple open houses, serving others, playing card & board games, hiding Easter eggs where they are least expected, and having read-a-thons. I also spend a lot of time watching my nieces and nephews. They bring more joy to my life than anything else. I currently work in the insurance industry, but my heart is in hospitality. I've worked for multiple hotel chains, and even an airline, and I've loved almost every minute of it. I love all things pink, flowers, ribbons, taking pictures of my nieces & nephews or my beautiful surroundings, good music, laughter, a good book, and my family. I may not be an overachiever, but I love deeply, and laugh often. I love the gospel, I love The Lord, and I am so blessed.

Why I am a Mormon

I can't imagine life without the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I was raised by active members of this church, and attended church meetings weekly. I've known about the Gospel my entire life, but I still had to find out for myself that it was true. It didn't happen overnight. I didn't always keep the commandments, and found out how much I had taken for granted. I decided to serve a mission, then my faith was truly tested. I heard many negative things about the church. When confronted, I had no other option but to turn to the only source of truth, my Heavenly Father. I hadn't prayed with as much ferver as I did then trying to find out for myself what was right. Gradually I recognized all the times the Spirit had touched my heart and mind teaching me of the truthfullness of the Gospel. I know that Joseph Smith was called as the Prophet to restore Christ's church. I know the Book of Mormon is another book of scripture testifying that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer. I'm thankful for the clarity, and peace that the Book of Mormon brings to my life. I know that Jesus Christ suffered for all of us, more specifically, He suffered for me. So that through Him I could overcome the weaknesses, illnesses, flaws that bind me, the trials and heartaches of this life. I know that He suffered and died for me so that I could return to live with Him and our Heavenly Father after my time in this life. It's the greatest gift I've been given, and it's awesome to me that it's a gift for us all.

How I live my faith

I currently serve in the church by working with the youngest kids of our congregation, the Primary. They are anywhere from 18 months up to 12 years old, and they are some of the most valiant, kind, honest, and giving souls I've ever met. I love each of them with all my heart. I am amazed at the ways they learn and teach each other about Christ, and our loving Heavenly Father. I also have been blessed with the opportunity to serve in the temple weekly for the last 6 months. I get to meet and serve so many wonderful Latter-day Saints of all ages, and from all walks of life. It is amazing to see how they come to serve the Lord, and their ancestors. It is also a huge blessing in my life to attend weekly and feel the Spirit so powerfully in the House of the Lord.
