Hi I'm Saryn

I love people. My family means the world to me. I love to travel. I am currently serving in Rome, Italy. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am studying Special Education at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. I believe that children with disabilities have perfect souls and I want to be around them as often as I can. I love to sing, be outdoors, read for fun, exercise, and just hang out with friends and family. I love the gospel so much and I can't imagine my life without it. I love temples and I am beyond stoked for the new one in Rome, where I am serving my mission, as well as the new one in Cedar City, which is my hometown. I love spring/summer time when I can be outside and play in the sunshine all day long. I love the beach and I love to travel. This last summer I went to Ecuador and worked in orphanages with children with disabilities and it changed my life forever. I have the best friends and family in the entire world and I would not be who I am today without them.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this is the true and restored gospel. I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ visited Joseph Smith, and I know that he restored this church and he translated the Book of Mormon with the power of God. I know that I am a daughter of loving Heavenly Father who knows my personally and is very aware of my needs. I know that He hears and answers prayers and I also know that He trusts us to make our own decisions sometimes. I am a member of this church because my brother and Savior, Jesus Christ, suffered in the Garden of Gethsemane for all of my sins so that I may repent and be clean again to return to the presence of my Heavenly Father. I know that this gospel blesses families and that my family can be together for eternity because my parents were sealed in the temple through the proper authority of the priesthood. I know that the temple is the house of God here on the earth and we receive blessings through our attendence. I know that the covenants I have made with my Father in Heaven through baptism and temple ordinances are sacred and that I am promised the blessings as long as I am obedient to His commandments. I know that God speaks to His children today through revelation to our modern prophet, President Thomas S. Monson. I am a member of this church because I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that it is the word of God. We can be blessed immensely by abiding by its precepts. It has the power and content to give us guidance in our lives and I know that every time I read from its pages, I come closer to my Father in Heaven. I love this gospel with everything inside of me, and I know that your Heavenly Father desires for you to do the same.

How I live my faith

For the next 18 months I will be living my faith as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I will be serving in the Rome, Italy mission and my purpose there is to invite others to come unto Christ, repent, be baptized, receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, and endure to the end. I love to serve others and I try to be an instrument in the Lord's hands to show them of His love for them.
