Hi I'm Ryan

I have grown up in Provo. I love to ski. I love to golf. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I go to college at BYU, but am currently taking a two year break from formal schooling to serve the Lord in the Czech Republic. I love the outdoors and the mountains. I am an avid snow and water skier. In the winter months you might catch me at one of my two favorite classrooms "Sundance Ski Resort" or "Deer Valley". I love spending time with my family and friends. The emphasis the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints puts on the family is something I have always enjoyed. Spending time with my family is one of my favorite activities. I am also what I would call a "foodie." I have tried about every restaurant in the greater Provo. I am always planning where my next meal will come from.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the joy that it brings to my life. Simply stated everything that brings me true joy and happiness in this life is because of The Church and it's teachings. I would not be the person I am today without the Church. I am also a Mormon because I have a testimony of the truthfulness of the teachings of the Church. I have had the privilege of growing up in what you would call the "typical" mormon family, but that alone is not why I am a Mormon. I had to find out for myself that the church was true. It is through study of the Book of Mormon and prayer that I have come to gain a testimony.

How I live my faith

I am living my faith by currently serving a two year mission for the church. As a missionary I have chosen to give up "normal life" for two years to help bring people unto the Gosel of Jesus Christ. Missionary work is full of long and hard days, but is very fulfilling. There is nothing I would rather be doing right now than serving the Lord. By being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints I have become I nicer person. By no means am I perfect, but the Church teaches us to love our fellow men and I am striving to do that. I am very excited to share my beliefs and testimony with the people of the Czech Republic for the next two years of my life.
