Hi I'm Preston Leavitt

I grew up in Boise, Idaho. I am a Boise State football fan. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a huge sports nut. My favorite sport to watch is football. The teams that I follow are the Boise State Broncos and the Denver Broncos. I also follow other sports teams such as the Seattle Mariners and the Boston Celtics. I love all things about the outdoors. My dream job is to own my own sporting goods business someday.

Why I am a Mormon

I have had the great blessing of being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints my whole entire life. But, I also needed to become converted and gain a testimony of my own love for this church. I have read the Book of Mormon and I know that it is true. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and that even though he was a great man that there was no way that he could have written the Book of Mormon. Joseph died fighting to make sure that this gospel could stay alive. I know that this church is the true church and that all of the doctrines that it teaches are true. I know that our older brother Jesus Christ was on this Earth and that while on this Earth he performed many miracles. Christ also went through the Atonement where he bled from every pour suffering every pain, sorrow, grief, and trial that we have ever been through. I know that Christ died on the cross and that He was resurrected three days later. I know that Jesus lived a perfect life while on this Earth and that through His example I can return home to my Father in Heaven. I love my family very much and I know that we can be together forever through keeping the commandments and keeping covenants with our Heavenly Father. Without this gospel I would not be who I am today. I don't know who I would be. I'm super glad to be able to have this gospel as a part of my life.

How I live my faith

While a member of the church I have served as the President over different groups of young men in my ward. I was just released as a home teaching district leader where I made sure that members of the ward were being home taught and taken care of. I currently don't have a calling as I am home from college preparing to serve a mission.

What is faith?

Preston Leavitt
Faith is to have a hope for something knowing that it is there without seeing it. For example we all know that we have a brain but, we can't always see our brain. We know that it is still there though because we have faith that it is there. We aren't always going to be able to see physical proof for everything so instead we have faith in things. Through faith we are able to know that there is a God and that He has a plan for us. Show more Show less
