Hi I'm Ashley

I am an avid blogger, runner, and reader. I'm a mommy, wife, and daughter of God. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I love life and all the simple things in it. I am a wife to the best man in the world and a mommy to the sweetest and most adorable little girl. I have been lucky enough to be a stay-at-home mom and just recently started a business that will allow me to continue to do so. I love to blog and spend time with my family. I have a weakness for spicy food, a good book, and looking at the stars.

Why I am a Mormon

I wasn't raised a Mormon. I have amazing parents who taught me great morals and to love my Savior, but I always felt like something was missing from my life spiritually. I started dating a guy who was LDS and I had never heard of the LDS church. I asked his parents if I could go to church with them and they said of course! So, I started attending church each week with them and after about four weeks I met with the missionaries. They were amazing and I finally felt like all of my questions I had about religion, Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and much more were being answered. Everything made sense and I felt in my heart that it was true. I started reading the Book of Mormon and I knelt down and asked my Father in Heaven if what I was reading was true. Of course I got the answer that it was and so here I am! I was baptized on December 21st 2010 and confirmed on December 26th 2010. I have received so many blessings since joining the true church of Christ. I was married on December 21st 2011 in the Nauvoo temple to my best friend for time and all eternity. We now have a beautiful little girl and being a parent has shown me a little bit more of how much my Heavenly Father loves me. The gospel has brought me so much joy and peace in my life. I love the gospel with every part of my heart!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be the best "me" I can be. I try harder everyday to become a little better than the day before. I talk to my Heavenly Father in prayer every morning and every night. I read my scriptures and try my best to apply what I learn in the pages to my life. I attend church every Sunday and I love to serve others. I keep the commandments and see great blessings come when I do so. I love my Savior and I know that what he did for me was the greatest and most powerful blessing I could ever obtain. My current calling in the church is ward missionary and I love to share the gospel because I want everyone to have the same happiness that I have.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

The mormon lifestyle is amazing. We believe that even though we will experience trials while on earth we should still have joy. This joy only comes through living the way Heavenly Father wants us to live. We can have peace in our lives and true happiness when we read our scriptures daily, let the Holy Ghost guide us through our lives, pray to our Father in Heaven, and strive to be more like Christ everyday. Serving others is extremely important to us because "charity is the pure love of Christ" "Moroni 7:47" Show more Show less
