Hi I'm Paisley Elanor Stevens

I'm a return missionary, aspiring author and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born into the church and so was my mom, but my daddy was a convert. His story is all his own and is better told by him. I served my mission in the wonderful Idaho, Nampa mission. I have always loved this gospel and the reality of my Savior Jesus Christ. When I taught others on my mission my favorite thing to teach was the reality of our Divine Nature and our Eternal Destiny. We can all come to know that we have a loving Heavenly Father and that He wants the best for us as His children. My loves consist of art, writing, exploring and learning. I am also participating in the BYU-Idaho Pathway program, after which I plan on attending BYU-Idaho itself and focusing in International studies.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon not because I was born into the church, but because I chose to fast and pray about being baptized the day I turned eight and my father baptized me in the font. I chose to take Moroni's challenge and I know that The Book of Mormon is true!. At eighteen all the youth in the church were given the chance to take the missionary discussions, so that we would know what our friends would hear when they were taught, and choose for ourselves if we (if investigators) would take the baptismal challenge and commit to going to church and making the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints a part of our lives. The gospel has never been forced on me and I know from my own searching and studying and recognizing the Holy Ghost bearing witness to me of its truthfulness that it is God's restored gospel on the face of the earth. I've no need to doubt that an uneducated, 14 year old farm boy named Joseph Smith could receive a vision of God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ, telling him that all the sects were missing major parts of His plan for us,and leading him to find the golden plates and give him the power to translate them in due time once he had grown up more and had learned what God wanted him to do. My faith is me. My beliefs are me and are as natural as my right hand. I have learned for myself that all these things are true. My name is Paisley Elanor Stevens and I am a member of God's foreordained and restored church.

How I live my faith

My life has never been without having the gospel at the center of it. Always I determine what I would do in a situation according to what I already know to be true. I strive to be faithful in my studies and apply them into my life where needed. In sharing the gospel I have found being an example of integrity and having an eternal perspective on things inspire those who ask about me and the church. I love my faith!

Is it true that Jesus appeared in North America after his crucifixion and resurrection according to the Book of Mormon?

Paisley Elanor Stevens
In the New Testament (John: 10:16) Jesus says that there are "...other sheep I have, which are not of this fold..." He explains that He must go to them also and teach them the message His Father sent Him to teach. Jesus came to preach first to the Jew and then to the Gentile. In the fantastic event that Heavenly Father would send His Only Begotten Son down to earth He would want Him to provide a way that all His children could be taught and saved. Jesus appointed apostles to preach His gospel in both the lands of the Bible and those of the Book of Mormon. His love and teachings were not limited to The Holy Land. Show more Show less
