Hi I'm Lindsy

I love my husband and family, I'm a dedicated behavior therapist and proud to be Latina.

About Me

Right now my husband and I are living many adventures in Chicago. I originally came to Chicago for graduate school in clinical counseling (Latino Mental Health specialization) and haven't had the heart to "break up" with this city yet. I work as a bilingual behavior therapist with Latino families and their children with developmental disabilities. Aside from having an amazing job, I love to swim, read, explore the city, bake cookies, and play or watch sports. And of course all of these activities I gladly share with my hubby of just over a year.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it helps give my life perspective. I "grew up" in the LDS faith and have had so many opportunities to pray to my Heavenly Father and receive an answer about what my next steps should be. I feel that in such a chaotic and busy world, it is so comforting to know that I can rely on someone much wiser and greater than myself to help me find my greatest happiness. I know God has a personal and loving plan for each person and he is waiting for us to include him in each step of the way.

How I live my faith

I likewise am pretty lucky to have a church calling serving the children of my stake (region). I am part of a presidency of women that help different local congregations teach and inspire children to love and try to be like Jesus Christ. I believe children are some of our best teachers about humility, perfect love, and kindness.
