Hi I'm Jody. I am from Northern Utah.

I am a proud wife and mom of three great kids. I love the great outdoors. And I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love my family and I love spending time with them. They are the most important thing in my life. I love the great outdoors. I enjoy hiking, biking, camping, riding motorcycles, white water rafting and more. I love pretty much anything to do with the outdoors. I have been active in sports my whole life and at times coached as well. I like to try new things. I like to garden and work in the yard. I have served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Denmark.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a home where there wasn't much religion. It wasn't important to me. I didn't really think about religion or God at all. I became interested around the age of 19. As I studied and prayed and read the Book of Mormon, I knew with all of my heart and soul that what I was reading was true. I knew Heavenly Father was listening to me and answering my prayers. The witness I received was sure and certain. It is something I can never deny or forget. I received a strong confirmation that not only was the Book of Mormon the word of God, but also the gospel of Jesus Christ was on the earth today and the same church that was established in Jesus Christ's time has been re-organized on the earth today. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God just like the prophets of old. From the Bible. Like Noah, Moses and Abraham. I also know we have a living prophet here on the earth today in Thomas S. Monson. I have seen miracles happen in people’s lives and in my own life because of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have seen the gospel of Jesus Christ change people and bring them such incredible blessings. I have seen it change my life. The atonement of Jesus Christ is real. He died for us so we could have the opportunity to repent of our mistakes and be forgiven. We all make mistakes and we all need to be forgiven. I have received so many blessings because of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know God lives. He loves us and wants us to be happy. He didn't put us down here on the earth to be miserable and unhappy. He wants us to succeed. Joseph Smith did translate the Book of Mormon. He organized the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I know that through the ordinances of baptism, confirmation, marriage in the temple, I can be together with my husband and children forever. Knowing our Heavenly Fathers plan of happiness brings me joy and a feeling of peace and hope in my life. This happiness and peace is found in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I have had many different callings and assignments in our church. Right now I am a teacher. I teach the doctrines of Christ from the scriptures in the adult Sunday school class. I have also had the opportunity to work with young kids, youth, young women and women. I have also served as a full time missionary in Denmark. I gave up 18 months of my life to travel to Denmark to share with the Danish people my love for Jesus Christ and Gods plan of happiness because it brings me joy and I want all to experience the same kind of happiness I have found. I strive to follow the Savior Jesus Christ's example and show Christ like love to all. To show empathy, compassion and charity to all my fellow brothers and sisters for that is what Christ’s life was really all about.
