Hi I'm Ethan Hemsley

I grew up in the deep south, play hockey like a northerner, and play music like my life depended on it. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a missionary serving in the Colorado, Denver North mission. I like to think I'm pretty versatile. But music is definitely my passion. I've played the bass since I was in the fourth grade, and played in everything from classical orchestras to jazz, rock, folk and metal groups. Prior to my mission, I spent a year studying music at BYU provo, and had the opportunity to go to Prague with the bass ensemble. My dream is to be a session musician, but I enjoy all aspects of music, so time will tell. I've played ice and roller hockey since I was ten, and my high school team has won multiple state championships. I enjoy tacky stuff, horror movies, fast food, live music, and pugs.

Why I am a Mormon

It defines everything about me. Every major decision, every opinion, every action. While I have been raised in the Church, my conversion is no less real than others who have not, and I thank the Lord daily for the marvelous blessing of being a part of his restored gospel.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving each day to better myself and to find those opportunities to help others in any way that I can. In my opinion, faith is an action word.
