Hi I'm Arianna

I grew up in San Jose, CA, but Pittsburgh, PA is my second home. I love to watch movies. I am a student. I am a Mormon.

About Me

Hello everyone! I love to watch/critic films, as well as occasionally create them. I also enjoy dancing and finding new music. I am going to a community college in preparation for a film degree. I am the youngest of 3, and the only girl. I work at a movie theater as an assistant manager and I LOVE IT! I live with my Father, my 2 older brothers, one of whom has his family of 5 with him. I love talking to new people and making a few new friends, but far from a social butterfly. And...well that's me. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the church since September 30th, 2012. I met my best friend as a freshman in High School, and he is Mormon. I never knew too much about religion, and was most definitely not interested in finding out about Mormonism of all things. But after about 4 years or so, he asked if he could give me a practice lesson as he was preparing to go on a mission. So I said sure, and the lesson ended up taking about 2 hours, and I asked for another, and another, and then the missionaries got involved, and just 3 or so months later I was baptized. I fell in love with this religion because I couldn't deny the love I felt within my life practicing it. No, my circumstances and surroundings haven't changed much but my outlook has, and so has my passion for life. I have so much to believe in now, and so much to look forward to, and a much greater understanding as to why I am important, and why those around me are important as well. We all have chosen to come here for a purpose, and I look forward to finding mine. I love my Heavenly Father and am so grateful for His love for me. I love my savior, Jesus Christ, and am more than excited to meet him again to say thank you. I love my prophet, Thomas S. Monson and his beautiful example. I love my Church. It is Christ's church restored to this Earth through the prophet Joesph Smith, with priesthood authority, and a love and guidance like no other. 3

How I live my faith

I go to my church meetings regularly, it is a great refresher, and I am grateful for the fact they are every week. I have no specific callings in my ward, however I visiting teacher. I try to stay on track with it however it is difficult to work around schedules. I try to go as frequently as possible to church activities, such as dances, institute, and other events. However it is difficult to make time between work and school. If I had a choice I would go to everything, and I hope one day to be a part of the teachers group at my church, as I one day hope to be acting and/or a film teacher. :)

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

Arianna
Well there is an amount that each missionary should pay to go on their mission. It's how they pay for toiletries, gas if they have cars, and foods occasionally. However, not all missionaries can cover this cost, so it comes out of the "church funds." Which is church tithing, any money gained from things such as fundraisers or donations, etc. Show more Show less
