Hi I'm Rebekka Luise Schenk

I am a missionary in Las Vegas, Nevada. I love my Savior. I am happy.

About Me

I grew up in Salzburg, Austria. I am currently serving as a full-time missionary in Las Vegas, Nevada. After my mission I will continue to study sculpture at Brigham Young University. I also love the outdoors. That is where I feel closest to my father in heaven. Some of my favorite things to do are running, snowboarding, mountain biking, climbing, swimming, hiking, canyoneering, and many more fun things. I also enjoy playing sports such as soccer, volleyball, diving, and tennis. I strive to find happiness and joy wherever I go.

Why I am a Mormon

I am grateful that I have been able to grow up in this gospel. It has really helped me to learn what the gospel means and how it works. There have been times that I have struggled with my testimony and was ready to give up, but the Lord did not give up on me. I soon realized that the only way that I was going to be able to overcome my struggles was with the Lord's help. The gospel is the way to happiness -- happiness that can overcome death and continue throughout the eternities. The gospel is filled with promises that if we are faithful we will be able to be united with our family forever even after death. That gives me hope and motivation to move forward, especially during troubling times. I am a Mormon because I have found that the principles taught in the church contain eternal truths and build the foundation of Jesus Christ's church on the earth.

How I live my faith

The gospel fascinates me because of how broad and all-encompassing it is. Heavenly Father loves all of his children and therefore he lets us learn eternal principles and truths through so many different ways. I love to live my life with an open view to what I can learn from others, especially when they have different religious or cultural backgrounds. I love to see this life as an opportunity to learn more about all of God's children and to better understand the love that he has for each one of his precious angels here on earth.
