Hi I'm Jessica Benson

I live in Utah most of my life, I am deaf and I am a Mormon.

About Me

One big thing about me is I am deaf, and my primary language is American Sign Language. I love my full time job, I sew a lot of cute clothes and I learn a lot from it and I have a few projects going to sew/revamp at home. I want to become a runner, and I love hiking and camping, all that. I love to do things with people because I get to know them better and become better friends or closer family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I want to be. I wanted to be baptized when they asked me when I was 8, and I then became a member of the Church. I love being part of the Church because I feel belonged and I always feel the peace that comes from the spirit. I also love to learn more about Jesus and the gospel. I will stay on this path all my life. Because it feels so right and I know it is true and from God because the fruits therefore is good fruit.

How I live my faith

I go to a ASL singles ward (there's deafies, hard of hearings, and hearies in there!), and I do my part for that ward through my calling, which is to sign in ASL the hymns during the sacrament meeting so the Deaf can be involved when they do the hymns and also so the hearies can see ASL translation too. I enjoy talking or do service to the people in the ward to support each other as a family.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?
