Hi I'm Steven Braun

I grew up in Spokane Washington. I love to run. I'm serving a mission in Rio de Janeiro Brazil starting July 10th. I'm a Mormon

About Me

My name is Steven Braun and I love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am currently a student at Brigham Young University in Provo Utah and am loving every second here. I love running and have run 2 marathons in my life with many more to come. I have been called to serve in the Rio de Janeiro Brazil mission and report to the Sao Paolo MTC in Brazil to prepare to preach the gospel in the portuguese language. I am the second youngest of six kids and have been blessed to have all three of my older brothers serve full-time missions. I love my family and wouldn't be the person I am today without their constant love and support in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been absolutely blessed to have been born of parents who are a member of this church. My mother and father's faith in Jesus Christ and the atonement is so radiant and strong and I have had the privilege of hearing them share their testimonies with me. As I've been able to live away from home for a while, my faith in Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father has been tested, but also strengthened as I've been able to turn to them for help and support through overwhelming trials in my life. I've also loved being able to turn to the scriptures for help and guidance and study the ancient prophets of old dispensations. I know my Father lives and loves me too. I am grateful for my family and their example they are towards me and I can't wait to start one of my own. I am grateful for the opportunity I have to serve the Lord on a full-time mission, and I know Heavenly Father has a special purpose for me and the people of Brazil.

How I live my faith

For as long as I can remember, I've always had a true love for Jesus Christ and the Atonement that he has performed for us. I fervently know that I can live with my Father in Heaven so long as I remain faithful and always keep his commandments. I've been a part of many presidencies while a young man and I am currently a student at BYU and am serving as the assistant ward clerk in my student ward. I love my calling! I also have done my best to always visit those who I home teach on a regular basis and assist them with whatever troubles come upon them, as well as teach them all that I can about the gospel and my own testimony of Jesus Christ.
