Hi I'm Katelin

I grew up in Farmington, I love doing humanitarian work. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love skiing, boating, dancing, believe it or not i love school... and I absolutely love being outdoors. I am attending college at a university and it is so fun. I love everything about it. I study Marketing which i chose because i love coming up with new ideas on how to appeal to people. It has a hint of psychology in the subject and so i enjoy it. I would love to work at a non profit and plan different events and fundraisers for the non profit. I love my family they are my best friends and we play all the time.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this gospel so I grew up in the church. So all growing up I was taught the principals and truths of the gospel and I leaned unto my parents and teachers testimony, and that was fine for the time. I had little experiences all throughout my childhood that were promptings from the holy ghost manifesting truth unto me. I remember when i got into Jr. High, I started to wonder why I believed. I wanted a spiritual manifestation of my own that the church was true. I wanted to know for myself that this was the true church. I knew that was what my parents believed and everyone around me. So i began praying and really seeking and pondering the meaning of this church. This went on for a short while without any huge lightning bolts of inspiration. Then one Sunday afternoon i was completing Personal Progress (a young womens thing that we do in the church to help strengthen your understanding) and I can't even remember the exact principal i was learning but I just remember this huge wave of warmth spread through me. I felt completely enveloped in this warm feeling and I knew. I could feel it in my heart and hear the quiet words in my mind manifesting the truth that my Heavenly father loves me. and i felt that everything i had done and believed in because of how i was raised was TRUE. I can testify of Christ and his atonement. I know that we have a Heavenly Father and he loves us, and I know that Christ loves all of us and wants us to come to him. And this church is His church and the only true way to make to back to God. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I am a teacher for the women in for the LDS church, I've never taught lessons before so it is a work in progress but I love it because I feel like I learn so much as i prepare my lessons. I also help plan social activities for events called "linger longers" and they really only have these activities in college wards because everyone loves free food right after church. I just plan for the activities to get people to mix and mingle. Every sister also is called to be a visiting teacher, which basically means you are assigned to two women in the ward just to teach a lesson once a month and just be a friend to them. It really is an awesome calling.
