Hi I'm Nicole

I wish I could connect with every human on the earth, and I intend on getting as close as I can. And I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am nostalgic. I am a daydreamer. I love to rollerblade. I am a photography major. I love people and connecting with them. I have a travel bug. It really started when I was 16 and decided to earn enough money to pay for my sister and I to go to Ireland one summer. When I pulled that off, I learned to make traveling a priority in my life and have since planned an "adventure" abroad every year. My favorite part of each trip is making those connections with people and learning from them. I believe every encounter with someone new is an opportunity to grow. I quote movies far more than I should and am obsessed with David Bowie. I love sheep. I love basil. I love karaoke and accidentally hog the mic everytime. I have been afraid of growing up since my third birthday. I am on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have prayed and felt the power and peace of the Holy Spirit confirm to me that the things I have studied and learned are true. I have read the Book of Mormon, and prayed to know if it were true. I know the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ, an addition to the Bible. Christ loves all of his children, which is why he came and visited the people of the Americas after he was resurrected, and taught them of His love. The Book of Mormon is the record of these events. I know that through prayer, scripture study, and faith, Heavenly Father will, even wants to, answer any question we have in this life and give us direction. He answered Joseph Smith as a 14 year old boy, He answers me everyday, and He is waiting to answer you.

How I live my faith

I love the scripture in the Book of Mormon, Alma 37:36-37. "Cry unto the Lord." I believe in "heart-to-hearts" with Heavenly Father. I believe that God knows all of the intents of our heart and wants to hear us ramble to Him. As we cast our fears, doubts, heartache, and worries at His feet, His Holy Spirit will guide us, and we will feel the atonement of Jesus Christ in our lives (Matthew 11:27-30). This hope and faith in Christ is the anchor of my soul. My beliefs and the joy that this church and these truths bring me are the only things that keep me going. Knowing that my Heavenly Father loves me, that my Savior, Jesus Christ understands me, and that the Holy Spirit is with me every step of my journey to comfort me and build me up, are the only things I need to know to be happy and at peace in this chaotic life. I know that God loves each of his children, and I want each of them to have that knowledge too.
