Hi I'm Ana Carolina Dantas

I am from Brazil. I love writing and reading. I know my Savior lives and He loves me.

About Me

I love reading and writing, in fact, I plan to be a professional writer someday. Famous, if I have my way. I always have some story in my mind, and my friends are already sort of used to me sharing them out of the blue. Among my favorite books figure Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Artemis Fowl, lots of other fantasy stuff, Brazilian literature and the list goes on forever. I love studying, I go to University and I study Physics. To me, Physics is the science that brings us closer to God. I just can't see how everything could be so logical and orderly without a Higher Intelligence to put everything into place. I love learning new languages, and I am intent on learning Chinese and Japanese. I must admit my interest for those two particular languages started with an interest for anime and manga, that later on grew to include J-Drama, C-Drama and light novels. If "books", "studies physics" and "otaku" aren't enough clues, then I admit, I'm a nerd. I love Star Wars, would like to know more about Star Trek and grew up watching Matrix. I learned with friends how to play RPG and Magic, The Gathering, but I don't have a chance to play them as much as I'd like. I'm the older of two, currently I'm a missionary in Temple Square until Oct 2014. Nice to meet you!

Why I am a Mormon

When I was born, my parents were already member of the Church, so for some time I just went along with them. But there was a time when I started questioning what were my actual beliefs, if I was being myself or just being "my parents' daughter". I searched myself and prayed, and soon the answer came to me. I already knew that the Book of Mormon was true, that Joseph Smith had translated it and that The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints was the Kingdom of God on earth. I had received these asnwer the first time I'd prayed for them, but I was too young to understand their full meaning. I know God listen to our prayers, not only because of those aswers I received, but also because once I was very sad, and I knelt and asked "I need a hug", and I felt hugged. The Lord had heard me and given me the little comfort I needed. And every single time after that, when I needed comfort, I sought Him and I felt His love for me and I received the strenght I needed to go through that especific provation. I am a Mormon because I know my Redeemer lives, and He loves me, and because I want to go back to our Heavenly Father and have an eternal family.

How I live my faith

I am serving as a full-time missionary for the church, which means I'm leaving my home for 18 months to preach the Gospel and invite people to come to Christ.
