Hi I'm Gladys

I have one sister and three brothers. I grew up in Samoa. I love my family. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Samoa and later moved to New Zealand with my family. My hobbies include reading, playing the ukulele and piano. I also enjoy playing tennis and volleyball. I am a University student majoring in Criminology with a minor in Ethnomusicology. I grew up as a mormon and have recently been called to serve a full-time mission in the Australia Brisbane Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were converts into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints before they met and I was born into the church. I grew up following what my parents did by going to church and all its activities. I never really questioned if it was the true church because it was the only way I have known all my life. It was not until I was a young adult that I had questions about the church. I was not sure if the Book of Mormon was true and if Joseph Smith really did see God the Father and His son. I prayed sincerely to God about my concerns and received a warm feeling of assurance that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God who saw God and Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because I know that it is the true church and that God loves us all. He sent His son to die for us so that we can be forgiven of our sins and return back to Him. I am grateful to be a Mormon. It has blessed my life and my family's lives in countless ways and I am forever grateful for the gospel and its teachings that help me become a better person.

How I live my faith

By doing the basic things such as praying every day and reading the scriptures, I know that we can feel the love God has for us. God knows our potential and with that knowledge it gives me strength to best keep His commandments and do all that I can to return to His presence. I love visiting teaching which is a program where sisters from church visit me, and I also visit other sisters. By doing this, I am able to see how sisters are doing and enjoy being visited by them also.
