Hi I'm Lexxy
I am an army wife, full time student, country girl, gamer, and one crafty lady. I'm a Mormon
Hello I am Lexxy, an army wife, full time student majoring in Environmental Science, country girl, gamer, crafter of many things like blankets and scarves. I love writing, cooking, working outside, building things, and upcycling. I love all things Italian and even speak a bit of the language.I have the most amazing, wonderful husband, a loving cat and two crazy gerbils.
I often call myself a very odd Mormon.. here are the reasons why: I grew up going to the LDS church with my family and chose another spiritual path/ religion before returning. I stopped going to church when I was 17 years old. I spent from that time on up until 2012 learning about many religions( Buddhism, etc). I often called myself an eclectic because I pulled beliefs from many places. Then August, Last year I felt the urge to attend church once more and I took the leap. Since then I have never looked back. I will admit, at first I was very unsure of attending church again. I wasn't sure how I felt about Heavenly Father or Jesus Christ. I had spent the previous year ( 2011) completely void of any "soul food" and had doubts about religion in general. But my interest was peaked; I wanted to learn more. All those years I had spent going to church when I was younger were a void. I remembered little or nothing. Now was the chance to learn. I attended church, prayed, and received an answer to my prayers, which I will bear testimony of the power of prayer. Without it I wouldn't have gotten through some recent trials or discovered that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was the right fit after all. I have never been happier or more blessed. Learning about the gospel ( again) has truly blessed my life.
Each day I strive to live as Christ would. I strive to pray always, keep the commandments, not judge and hope I am serving as He would. I am an army wife so community always changes. I was part of the F.R.G ( Family Readiness Group) and loved being a part of the army community and being there when needed for other military spouses. I have lived in a lot of place but now live in Missouri. I hope I can become a part of the community and help people in any way I can. I have no current calling but love to attending church and going to Institute during the week so I can learn more about the gospel.
