Hi I'm David

I am still out of my mind in love after 28 years of marriage. I am a father of four. I am lucky. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I just reached the milestone age of 50 and worry about my four grown kids today as much as I did when they were small. My beautiful wife and I set a goal early in marriage to provide our kids the gift of a college education, however, we didn't expect them to all be in college at the same time. Each night we encourage each other and pray that we might reach this goal. We are half way there. It is satisfying to know that God knows our desires and sustains our efforts when often we think it is impossible. One day the garage door will be fixed. One day we will drive cars with less that 200,000 miles.....And, yes, one day we will have four college graduates :) We are blessed.

Why I am a Mormon

I continue to be a Mormon because of a personal witness from God received when I was a young man seeking to know the truth. I continue to be a Mormon because of the sweet confirming spirit that accompanied my marriage in the temple forever. I continue to be a Mormon as I marvel at the miracle that brought us our youngest daughter from the Ukraine and how we were guided to her. I continue to be a Mormon because of the hope and peace that surrounds me as I contemplate God's teaching of eternal families. I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

My favorite time of night is when we gather for family prayer. We talk, laugh, and enjoy conversations about each others day before we thank God for our blessings. I live my faith by serving. I get to meet with 10 amazing Young Men each week who inspire me by striving to live their lives by keeping God's commandments while navigating through the stresses, peer pressure, and relationships of high school and family. I get to witness their tremendous growth of character and in exchange they keep me humble and grounded.
