Hi I'm Carolina

I am Lati-Gringa, too white to be Latina and too Latina to be white. I am an RM, married to my best friend, and Mormon.

About Me

Currently, I'm a college student. In high school I was involved in choir and student government. I love doing things outside and creating my own adventures. I love reading all kinds of books, but especially those that take me to another time and different places. Sometimes managing school is difficult and at times I feel like i'm drowning in the school work, but as i've tried to manage my time the best that I can, I've always been blessed to accomplish all that i've needed to.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up I didn't think anything about being Mormon, it was just a title I had. It wasn't until much later that I began to question why I was going to church and if I really thought the church was true. When I was thirteen all the confusion and frustrations I had felt about life finally came to a point where I didn't know where I belonged and I didn't know where I fit in, in my church. For the most part, I felt alone and I had no desire to go to church, because I simply didn't feel worthy to go. It was then when a new leader was called to my class in church. Though they don't know, with her, the girls in the church, and through times where I got to know them outside of church, I began to feel like a member of the church again. I felt the love of my Savior through the members and I knew I was not forgotten, I knew I was important and not just another member. As I gained a testimony of my Savior's love for me, I was able to come to know the power of the atonement and the truthfulness of the gospel. Through out my life, there have been many small testimony builders, but the moment I truly became converted came at a huge turning point in my life. Had I not come back to church I would have continued down a lonely path and I know I would not be where I am today. I love the Savior with my whole heart, and by doing so I have committed to follow the covenants I have made and will continue to make.

How I live my faith

In my ward I am called to serve as a ward missionary. Through a past calling I've been able to teach a couple lessons during church. I enjoying going to ward activities and participating in stake activities as well. Each day I try to get a little better and grow a little closer to my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Each night, before I go to bed I read my scriptures, I write in my journal, and I pray. When I write in my journal I try to think back to my day and a time where i've seen the Lord's hand in my life. Through doing this, not only have I grown closer to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, but i've also been able to recognize the spirit more.
