Hi I'm Jordan

I grew up in Renton, Washington and have been living in Preston, Idaho for the past few years. I'm an avid soccer fan.

About Me

I'm a city boy that moved out to the country. I really love playing sports they are a huge part of my life, even if I'm not that good at some of them. My favorite sport is soccer, I've been playing soccer for most of my life. I've also recently started to like track & field as well. I used to be a very shy person, but I'm confident I can start a conversation with a random person on the street if I want to. I am by no means perfect, but I try to better myself every day.

Why I am a Mormon

I've grew up in a Mormon family, so I've always been going to church. I always thought it was a good place to go. I had lots of friends, and family that went, so I would always go. Which led me to ask myself, "Am I going for the right reasons though?" I've had some pretty amazing experiences that have happened to me that have really bore witness to me that God lives. My first one was when I was around 4 or 5 years old. I had been playing tag with some other children in the church on top of a stage. I was standing on the edge, and unbeknownst to me, the person that was it was right behind me. They tagged me and I fell a good couple of feet to the ground. Anyway, I went home and my parents had noticed that I had been having pains in my chests, so they thought it would be a good idea to see if I had broken a rib due to my fall. The doctor checked out the x-rays and told my dad that he was lucky that he brought me in when he did. He said that I had a cancerous tumor that was still in its early stages and they would be able to remove it. Then my second experience was a little more recent. I was 17 and a Jr. in high school. I slept downstairs in the basement and was always cold. I felt the need to have a heater only my night stand so I wouldn't be cold at night. My parents advised me that I shouldn't do that because it would "burn my face off." I would always just laugh and blow them off. Well, I learned first hand that the Lord loves me and to listen to your parents. I woke up around 2 AM in the morning to flames near my head. Luckily the fire was put out before any major damage was done to the house. I managed to make it out safely along with my family without any damage done to me. The doctor said most people that have fires in their home die from smoke ventilation in their sleep. I was so blessed that morning. I know, without a doubt though, that this is the true church.

How I live my faith

I try to fulfill my callings in the church. It is something I really want to work on, because I've noticed when I do them, I just feel a lot better inside. By doing so, it also helps you get to know a lot of people you otherwise wouldn't have gotten a chance to.
