Hi I'm Allison

I grew up in Utah. I want to someday work as a speech-language pathologist. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am currently a senior in college studying speech-language pathology. I love reading--just about anything, running, and photography. I absolutely love my family--they are my #1 best friends! I'm a strong believer in choosing to be happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I was lucky enough to be born into the LDS church. As I have grown older, I have developed a stronger relationship with my Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ. I am grateful that each day I have the opportunity to grow in His gospel. I know that Heavenly Father KNOWS me personally. I know that through daily prayer, I can talk to Him. And He listens. That is absolutely MIND-BLOWING to me. I know that He truly wants the best for each of us. I know that the atonement works. Not just for sin, but for sorrow. Jesus Christ has been through my hurt, and if I turn to Him, He will guide me through the storm. I know that the Holy Ghost is my friend, and He will protect me in ALL instances. I also have a testimony of The Book of Mormon. That book IS the word of God, and I know that through daily scripture study, I CAN learn more fully of His gospel and His plan for me. I know that our church has a prophet on the earth today, who leads and guides us under the direction of Heavenly Father's will. I have a testimony of the plan of salvation. I know that if I live according to His will, I can return to live with Him, my papa, in Heaven. And my family will be there!! I know that we were placed into our families for a reason. I know siblings can be frustrating, but I KNOW that if we take a step back and look at the big picture, our families are truly our best friends. My family members are MY best friends. I KNOW this is Christ's church. I'm a Mormon. I know it. I live it. I love it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through example. Although I am fairly quiet, I know that living with integrity, or in accordance to my beliefs is one way that I can live my faith. I think one way I live my faith is through ARK--Acts of Random Kindness. There is something so satisfying about doing "sneaky" service :) I also live my faith by being a friend. Everyone needs someone to talk to, and I love listening, and hoping that somehow through my actions I can benefit those around me.
