Hi I'm Bradley Thorne

I was born and raised in the Southeast, I love music, art, and everything about the sea... and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I was born in Georgia, but I grew up in Tennessee. Growing up, I was always the kind of person who didn't really know what I wanted from life, and so I've always had a bit of an apathetic disposition. It wasn't until I was about halfway through High School when I realized that I needed to start making really important decisions; but I didn't really know how. When I grew up and moved away, how was I going to support a family? Was I still going to be active in church? What about a mission? Or marriage? I started to realize that I didn't have forever to make those decisions anymore. Through scripture study and daily prayer, I began to find the path I should take. I was attending my first semester of school at BYU-Idaho when the living prophet today, Thomas S. Monson, announced that the age requirement to serve a mission had been lowered to 18 years for young men. Almost instantly, I felt prompted that I needed to go as soon as I could. The decision to serve was easy for me, thanks to the examples of my parents and eldest brother. Now that I'm on my mission, I'm so thankful for the guidance Heavenly Father has given to me. And if there's one thing about me I'd never give up, it would be the knowledge that there is something else after this life, that I have a Father in Heaven, and that he loves me and cares about my success here just as much (or more) than I do.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, and went with my parents until I was old enough to decide to be baptized. I knew that it was something I wanted to do, and I'm so glad I did. Eventually, I gained a testimony of my own. I have a firm testimony of The Book of Mormon, and I know that Heavenly Father does answer prayers. I have received countless witnesses of the truthfulness of the Gospel, and I strive to constantly repent and better myself. The reason I want to share the Gospel with others is because I can see so clearly; I have had a guiding light throughout my life, leading me to make good decisions and come closer to Christ. Because of the experiences the church has given me, I've been converted to Jesus Christ! Although I still have a relaxed nature, I have found a burning ambition when it comes to doing my part. We know that in order to reach our full potential (that is, to return to live with our Heavenly Father and eventually become like him), we have to reach as close as we can to perfection. That inspires me to action! Unfortunately, life is still hard. Challenges and trials come, and bad things happen. I can only imagine what life would be like if I didn't have this knowledge; a knowledge of where I came from, and what I'm doing here, and a belief that after this life, I will return to live with my Heavenly Father with my family.

How I live my faith

Outside of being a missionary, I always do my best to live the gospel of Jesus Christ, and all of the things Jesus taught when he was here on the Earth. I try to find a way to love and serve everyone - and even though I'm far from perfect, I know that I only have to do my best, and He makes up the rest! As a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ, I am called of a prophet of God and commissioned to teach the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. If you aren't yet a member of this church and would like to learn more about how the gospel can bless and change your life, I also have the privilege of teaching online. You can find me on Facebook by clicking the link above, or by searching for me. I invite everyone who has not heard and accepted this message to do so! You will not regret it.
