Hi I'm Ashton

I am from Wyoming and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in Wyoming for mostly all of my life, it is a beautiful place to live and I love it!! I am currently attending school and studying Elementary Education. I love my family! I enjoy hanging out with my friends. Some of my hobbies include fishing, camping, drawing, reading, and more.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm so grateful that I was born and raised as a member in the church. I know that in this life we will all face accidents, trials, and disappointments. I know that the the gospel of Jesus Christ, helps me remember that I am not perfect and that I can always turn to my Heavenly Father and ask for help. I have seen and experienced for myself the miracles of the gospel in my life and in others lives. There was a time in my life where I fell away from the church and got into things that wasn't good. I started coming back to church after a big trial took place in my life from the choices I made. It was honestly the hardest thing in my life. I came back because I knew how much I needed the Lord and my Savior in my life. I'm very grateful for the love and support my parents gave to me. It's sad to admit that I had to go through such a difficult experience to realize how much I needed the gospel in my life! I've learned that God has a much better plan than I do for myself. I know that as I strive to meet the goals that the Lord has for me, I will be blessed and strengthened. I'm so grateful for the Atonement of Jesus Christ, my life has been blessed and I have changed in so many ways. I'm grateful for the living prophet we have on this earth, to give us council from God about our time. I'm so grateful for the Plan of Salvation, so I can learn and grow and be able to return to my Father in Heaven.I know Joseph Smith was a true prophet. And I know the Book of Mormon is true.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by being positive everyday, I try not to dwell on my doubts or negativity that I face in my life. Also, I try to do everything that I can possible do in my calling, to help those and comfort those in need. I also try to read my scriptures everyday and say my prayers. I try to see the good in everyday.

What is faith?

In one of my college classes, this question was actually asked. Many people wonder what faith is, in my college class each person wrote down what they though faith was. I wrote, faith is trusting and hoping in things that are not seen. Just like Alma 32:21 says, "faith is not to have a perfect knowldege of things; therefore if ye have faith ye hope for things which are not seen, which are true." To have faith in God and his gospel is trusting and having confidence in Him. If you are obedient, study the scriptures and have the desire to believe, your faith will grow within you.
