Hi I'm Sarah

I grew up on a small farm, went to a french immersion elementary school, and I love ice cream. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Canada, Toronto mission. I grew up in the country on a family farm. We had horses, cows, sheep, rabbits, a cat and a dog. I rode the bus for over an hour both to and from school, mostly on dirt roads. I have three sisters who are my best friends. I have played the piano for over 10 years, and I make a mean turtle pie.

Why I am a Mormon

From a young age I have had a strong testimony that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true. As I read the Book of Mormon for the first time, at 12 years old, I had an overwhelming peace brought upon me. Living the gospel faithfully has not always been the popular thing to do. During my high school years I struggled with persecution of others who did not understand my desire to live the gospel both on Sunday and during the week. Among other youth, it was common to go to church, and then forget what they learned during the week. As I stayed faithful, Heavenly Father showed his love for me as I was often reassured I was doing the right thing. The fullness of the gospel brings enlightenment and understanding into my life. I cannot imagine living my life any other way.

How I live my faith

I am currrenlty serving a mission. I have left my family for a short time so that I can hlep other families live together in happiness and for eternity. It is difficult being away from home, and leaving behind my schooling and other goals, but I know that this is a great work! Only with the help of the Lord am I able to do this. It has been a wonderful experience focusing on others and forgetting myself in the work of the Lord.
