Hi I'm Jacob

I grew up in Preston Idaho, I love to play basketball and football, I love being outdoors, and most important, I'm a Mormon!

About Me

My name is Jacob Wolfley, I love to play sports especially Basketball and American Football. I also love to go camping, hiking, and just being outdoors. I am about 6"5' and I am the tallest in my family. I grew up in a wonderful family, there are 9 people total in my family and I am the oldest son. I am currently serving a LDS mission and I am in the Poland Warsaw Mission. This has definitely been the greatest blessing in my life so far. It has been hard, but totally worth it. When I return home I plan on studying computer science, or some sort of business major. Life hasn't always been easy, but thanks to the knowledge that I have of my Savior Jesus Christ, I have been carried through the ups and the downs of life. I may not know what is in my future, but I sure know that whatever I do, I need His help in order to carry on.

Why I am a Mormon

Well a lot of people may say that if you are born into a religion then you don't really know if it is true, but I am here to tell you that anyone who thinks like that is wrong. I was born into a wonderful home that lived the principles of the Gospel. I like Nephi can say that I was "born of goodly parents". It was a blessing to be born into a home with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but that is not the only reason for me being a Mormon. You see I have put the challenge to the test, I have prayed and asked my Heavenly Father if what I am doing is right and if this is His Church and I am here to tell you that I have received an answer that I can not deny. I know that the teachings of this church are true and are in fact given to us from God. It is this knowledge that lead me on my mission, but even then I did not have such a strong testimony like I do know. That testimony came through hard work and diligence that being a missionary requires. I can say now without a doubt in my mind that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the only true church upon the earth today, and nobody can take that knowledge away from me. I know that these things are true because I have seen the blessings in my life. I have seen how the Gospel can heal broken hearts, how it can help those who thought there was no where else to go, and I have seen what it has done to me. It took me, a weird boy from Idaho, and has changed my life in such a way that I am forever grateful to my Heavenly Father. I know that the doctrines of this church are true, and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I show my faith by my actions. There is a scripture that simply states "And by their fruits, ye shall know them". This statement is true on all levels. I don't know of any way to show my faith than by living it and putting it to use. I will admit that when I was younger, I didn't quite understand what it meant to live by my faith, but now it is so clear to see that all we have to do is to (as cheesy as this sounds) live like Jesus did. I know that I am not perfect, but I do know that as I try and follow his example in my life, he helps me to help others. Many people can say that they live their faith, but stick them in a situation that requires them to show it and then you will see how many people really do. I hope that I would be one to stand up for my beliefs and show my faith in any trial.
