Hi I'm Christina

I've lived in the Bay Area my entire life. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I'm a Mormon!!!

About Me

I've grown up in the Bay Area, and was previously attending Community College before I decided to serve a mission. I was introduced to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints my senior year in High School when an old time friend invited me one Sunday. I loved the Church and believed in everything the missionaries taught me. I was baptized a month after the missionaries began teaching me (something I thought I would never do)! I am the only one in my family who is an active member of the Church. My dad was baptized when he was a young boy and lived in Guatemala, but when he migrated to the United States at the age of 16 he became inactive. Most of my friends were supportive when I told them I was going to be baptized, it was a little weird at first, but after a while they became more and more acceptive about the idea. Even if they would have never accepted me for who I was going to be, I knew that that change in my life would be worth the sacrifice. Sometimes when I look back at what my life was, I know that I would never be as happy as I am now if I would not have accepted the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. My life has changed drastically, for the better, in such a short amount of time. It amazing to know the purpose of my life in this world, and to know a little about the deep love my Heavenly Father has for me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I choose to be!!! Being Mormon is the best thing that has ever happened to me, and I can never take it back. Once you grow a testimony of the truth of the Gospel, you will never be able to forget it. I love my life now, and I know that being a Mormon is what my Father had in store for me even before I was born. I am glad that I am a faithful child of God, and that I chose to accept my Heavenly Fathers plan for me. I know that it is his plan that every single one of His children accept His plan as well.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to church every Sunday!!! Going every Sunday is key for me, it is very important to me that i go back and see the people who give m the strength to continue strong in the Gospel. The members of my branch are like my own little family, I have so much fun when I am with them, and they are very supportive. My calling is another thing that also keeps me going back to Church every week as well. My calling is to make the branch program to let all the members know who the speakers are going to be for that Sundays Sacrament Meeting. Although my calling might not be as intense as other callings, it's the perfect one for me, in keeps me involved in Sundays activities, and it keeps me coming back because I feel bad when I leave the Branch without a program. Another way i live my faith is by following the teachings of the Church. I know that my Heavenly Father doesn't put anything in my path that I can't handle. The things that our Father asks of us are for our own well-being, and I acknowledge that. It can be challenging to change many things in our lifestyles from one day to another, but once we overcome those challenges, they aren't challenges any longer. I also go visit some of the sisters from Church and share messages about having faith and living the Gospel, and I can say that has been one of my most favorites things about the Church. I have had the best experiences when I visit other sisters and testify of the truth of the Gospel.
